Where/how did you find this vehicle
My grown-up son wanted a beetle, so I said for him to search for one. We found a fairly shaped (and fairly priced) one at a used car vendor. The photo is how we bought it. After minor body and mecanical repairs the car was good for several yaers to the entire family, then I decided to do a ground-up restauration with the help of Mid America Motorworks (fine people). After that, the car is parked in an undergrond garage.

Any projects planned for this vehicle in the future?
I intend to put two 2-barrel carbs on each cylinder pair, the rest is new and practically original.

Has this vehicle won any awards?
I haven´t presented it yet on concours shows, only on the yearly Beetle parade.

Have you raced it? If so, where and when?
It´s intended as a daily driver.

Practically a new engine was mounted on the basis of a stock case and a complete 2100cc Kit with two single barrel carburators, flame trower coil and distributer, electric fuel pump. enlarged oil cooler and serpentine belt.
